Ref no. 732/KKI. This position entails: managing and participating in a wide variety of UK and international human factors consultancy projects for clients in the nuclear, defence, and oil and gas sectors; building client relationships including regulators, nuclear and other major hazard companies, government bodies and agencies e.g. European Commission; and carrying out marketing and tendering activities to develop the Human Factors (HF) business in line with growth targets.

Salary

£35k to £45k

Key Responsibilities

Carry out HF projects - plan and manage own work and that of others to meet budget and technical requirements. Projects range from HF analyses in support of safety cases, audits and evaluations, through to complex HF research and development projects and delivery of HF training.

Marketing - identify and respond to opportunities, liaise with other business groups within the Company, prepare and deliver presentations and other marketing materials (e.g. brochures), contribute to HF business development strategy and plans.

Tendering - prepare tenders including scoping and costing HF projects or HF components of multidisciplinary projects.

Developing and maintaining client relationships (client facing role) - through informal networking, formal meetings and conferences and by monitoring developments in the HF field, identify wider (i.e. non-HF) opportunities and pass on to relevant groups within the Company.

Assist in the development of the HF Team through mentoring graduate and junior HF staff, maintaining contacts with university groups & professional organisations, and assisting with recruitment activities as required.
