Ref no. 28 - 0013. As a member of the Decommissioning Team, the EC&I Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of EC&I projects, from concept through to implementation, associated with the decommissioning of a redundant Post Irradiation & Examination (P.I.E) Facility and the B55 WAGR facility.

12 months contract - rates £25 - £28 per hour
All applicants will have to be security cleared, therefore we can only accept applications from British Nationals who have been resident in the UK for at least the past 5 years.
The EC&I Engineer will be involved with activities related to familiarisation, commissioning, planning of operation and maintenance of all electrical, control and instrumentation systems of the Windscale Advanced Gas-Cooled Reactor (WAGR) Decommissioning Project, which includes the Remote Dismantling Machine, Waste Route, Grout and Concrete Plant and related systems. Future involvment in the B14 PIE facility is expected.
Provision of EC&I support to the operations and engineering sections of the project, enhancing the safe and efficient operation of the decommissioning plant, equipment and tooling.
Involvement in the implementation of solutions requires organisational skill for co-ordination with operations and other project groups.
The EC&I Engineer must be reliable and self motivated, and be able to work to a high standard. Additionally they should have experience in the direct supervision of teams of multi disciplined personnel.
An important aspect of the work is related to documentation production, requiring good methodical approach and writing skills. Familiarity with PCs and Microsoft office applications such as Word is essential.
Deputising for the EC&I Lead Engineer as necessary.
