Key Responsibilities

Advise procurement on the adequacy and competence in H & S of potential contactors working within the DMP framework of contracts.

Review Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) plans at Pre-tender and Construction phases for each DMP project.

Ensure adequate arrangements are in place for the induction of site personnel on each project.

Undertake formal inspections of site activities on a weekly basis and provide recommendations to management and/or supervision, where necessary, on improving conditions when found to be below acceptable standards.

Undertake timely accident and incident investigations that occur on any DMP site and provide findings to all relevant personnel within 24 hours.

Support DMP management and supervision teams in implementing the project ESH arrangements.

Undertake education and/or training for the DMP management and supervision teams in applicable ESH policies and procedures, as required from time to time.

Take immediate action on any imminent danger situations observed on any project and notify the CM of your actions and any necessary follow up actions.

Undertake specific activity reviews to establish that arrangements are in place and are working effectively.

Undertake, when required, structured audits of DMP project H & S documentation and procedures.

Provide advice and assistance to the Facilities Manager when required.

Undertake daily site visits when necessary.

Monitoring ESH performance.

Promote 'Target Zero' at every opportunity.
